Corrinne Marie

Corrinne Marie dob. 09-26-99

Corrinne shares her house with parents, little brother and two kitty cats.  When she's not entertaining Mom and Dad she attends preschool as a prelude to kindergarten.  I'm not really sure they need to teach her much, she can already whip both Opa and me at a game of Memory.  This is all the more amazing because Opa never loses at anything and certainly not to a kid!  We expect her to be able to recite Shakespeare's sonnets next year.

Current Events 2007

Corrinne is in the 1st grade at Virginia Run Elementary School.  She is becoming an exceptional reader - mom is the "Great Books" instructor for the gifted readers in first grade.  Corrinne loves playing soccer in the SYA league with her friends from VRES.  She is also in Tae Kwon Do, breaking wooden boards in half with one punch and/or kiks.  Corrinne loves her cat, Sadie, and enjoys taking care of lots of creatures she finds in the yard.  On January 24 she went on her first ski trip and was flying down the intermediate slopes by the second day.  She's a natural.

Current Events 2006

January - This year Corrinne joined the growing number of grandkids who need corrective lenses to enjoy the world in all it's beauty.  While most kids don't realize they're unable to see clearly until about the age of 8, Corrinne complained that the blackboard was blurry in kindergarten.  A trip to the ophthalmologist confirmed that, yes indeed, she was nearsighted and needed glasses.  Now Corrinne and her buddy, Jack, look more like sister and brother  than cousins.

Current Events 2004

June 8 - Tomorrow will be a very exciting day, Corrinne begins her riding lessons on Nutty and this may be the start of a new generation of equestrians.  I'm so excited!  Before today CC had a couple of rides on the pony and seems to be a natural, she loved every minute she was on Nutty's back  But Wednesday will be the deciding day since CC will have to show her mettle under pressure.  Miss Donna plans to put the pony on a lunge line and actually teach Corrinne how to be the boss.  I'll keep everybody posted.
