Jack  dob.04-11-99

Jack is the middle child in the family but this isn't really a problem since he's special in being the first boy.  Jack's a quiet little guy and you'd think he might be timid but this isn't the case.  In fact, he seems to have little fear of anything!  At the barn Jack will stay as long as he's allowed to feed the horses treats, and some of these animals are quite big.   So far Jack's the only grandchild that has asked to ride Ruben, my enormous black steed.  Let's hope he never develops an interest in rock climbing or bungee jumping!

Current Events 2007

As we swing into 2007 Jack is beginning his 2nd semester as a 2nd grader at Bells Mill Elementary School.  Being a typical little boy he loves sports, especially baseball and soccer, but still manages to find time to practice the piano.  I've never seen him on a baseball field but I did enjoy some tunes that he played one evening and I know he'll make a good musician.  Jack is busy preparing to make his First Communion this spring and Opa and I will be there for this very special occasion.

Current Events 2004

April 11 - Wow, Easter Sunday and Jack's 5th birthday, all on the same day!  Talk about juvenile overload!  But Jack rose to the task at hand and managed to hunt eggs and open birthday presents with equal grace.  His party was held at 3:30PM at the family home and quite a few members of the family were able to attend.  Opa and I, Debby, Neil, Caitlin, Jake, Kelly Brett, Becky, Huffy, Sara, Megan, Kim and Nikki arrived bearing gifts and good will.  The featured present was a two wheeled bike (no training wheels) from Mom and Dad which we were all made to understand that Jack had mastered at the tender age of 3.  We spent the afternoon and evening coordinating an egg hunt, opening gifts and dining on a traditional Easter menu of honey baked ham and scalloped potatoes.  Naturally there was birthday cake, shaped like a bunny, and lots of wine and beer.  The festivities ended by 7:30PM and we all headed for home filled with everything good that comes about as the result of time spent with loved ones.

Jack's glasses.jpg (35793 bytes)May 11 - Just a little note to let everyone know that Jack got his new glasses two weeks ago and is he handsome in them!  He looks so grownup.  Since both Uncle Sport and Aunt Tammy wore glasses as toddlers I learned to love the look of children in them.  I'm sure Cathy will grow to feel the same way.

Jack&Nutty.jpg (47804 bytes)July 2 - This young man could turn out to be the next rodeo champion of the US.  Right now he's riding English but as soon as Grammy buys a western saddle he can ride cowboy style.  Jack has a fantastic natural balance that will be a tremendous asset as an equestrian.  He's also fearless.  I'll let everybody know when they can see this guy in his first western competition.
