Sport and Amy

Sport and Amy met in college where Amy was Becky's roommate.  We always knew that Sport would marry one of his sisters' friends so we weren't surprised when he gave us the good news that Amy was the chosen one.  Amy has a degree in business so she was a natural choice for an office manager in Kenny's practice until the army forced a relocation to Texas.  In July, 2003 this family moved to Ramstein Village in Germany where Sport is on the staff at Landstuhl Army Medical Center helping care for our troops in Iraq.  Amy keeps busy managing the house and 3 little girls, Zoe, Sam and Abbey.

Current Events 2007

January 22 - Eight long years of missing Sport and his family are about to come to an end.  In June Sport's military obligation will be over and all will be returning to Northern Virginia.  At this time Sport has 2 job offers, one in Woodbridge and the other in Reston.  As soon as he chooses the best one for him we can start looking at houses in the area.  I have to admit, I've already spent no small amount of time doing internet real estate searches.

Current Events 2006

February 13 - In July of 2005 Sport, Amy and kids joyously returned to the great USA after a 2 year military tour in Ramstein, Germany.  I don't know who was happier, Sport and Amy or the rest of us.  The family settled in Fayetteville, NC for the next 2 years where Sport is on active duty at Fort Bragg.  With a small lake in the back yard of their house, the kids are kept busy fishing and hunting for other small aquatic life.   July 2007 will be the end of Sport's  military obligation.  With a little luck he'll land a fantastic job in the northern Virginia area and life will come full circle.

Current Events 2004

August 22 - How time flies!  The Sport, Amy and the kids have already come and gone and their visit here seemed to last only moments!  Sport and his wonderful family arrived in Virginia on Friday, August 6 and left 2 weeks later.  The original plan was for the whole clan to gather at Corolla beach in North Carolina for a family reunion but fate was against us.  My mom  got sick and Kenny and I had to travel to Arkansas and help Grandy with a very difficult situation there.  But the rest of the family made the reunion and all reports from NC maintain that the attendees had a wonderful time in spite of the absence of the patriarchs.  There was lots of fun, food, spirits, and family bonding, creating memories that endure for a lifetime.  Kenny and I were able to spend the last 5 days of the visit with Sport and family here in Fairfax and I hope we made enough of an impression on the grandkids that they'll remember us until the next visit.  That should be over the Christmas holidays when we'll travel to Ramstein Village.
